"Hotline will be established between N. and S. Korea"

Unification minister nominee, Lee Jae Jung said that the 'Hotline' between North and South Korea will be established for heading off the collision, on 17 at a hearing. Also, he added that he will deliver a message to North Korea for reopening ministerial talks via a pertinent route.

Minister Lee stressed that ministerial level talks has to be reopened for exchanging opinions about current situation.

About the food aid, he said "I will watch the six party talks. However, if the national assembly agrees with restarting food aid, then I think it will restart at once."

He also asserted that the US should have bilateral talks with North Korea for solving the nuclear issue such as the US settled the vietnam situation by dialogue.

After North's nuclear test, South Korean government has been stopped talk with North Korea so this will be the first try to talk again with North.
